Silver lake (in Serbian Srebrno jezero) is one of the best-known holiday resorts in Serbia. It is located on the right bank of the Danube, 2 km from a town and municipality Veliko Gradiste, and 110 km east from Belgrade. It is 14 km long, with an average width of water of 300m and 3m depth. However, its significance lays mostly in constant accumulation and provision of fresh water, thanks to the water pumps which maintain the water level. What characterizes this lake is its irregular arch shape.
As a result of the lake’s growing popularity, it has been advertised as the Serbian sea, since Serbia is landlocked. Within the vicinity are various historical attractions such as the fortresses of Ram and Golubac and the Djerdap National Park, which can make a stay at this lake even more appealing. If there is a need for that since Silver Lake itself offers too many leisure opportunities.

The prices of food and drinks are not particularly expensive in comparison to other parts of Serbia. In many restaurants on the shores of the lake, you can enjoy a rich gastronomic offer at very reasonable prices.
The nightlife is so diverse. In some bars, such as the restaurant Sidro, you can enjoy Serbian traditional drinks while listening to tamburica (instrument resembling the mandolin and guitar).
