Serbia Open 2021 – April 19th to 25th

Dear friends, we have exciting news for you – Serbia Open 2021 is commencing today, on April 19th. It will last until April 25th. Even though this year there will be no audience, we are still very passionate and will be monitoring it on our small screens.

What is Serbia Open?

The Serbia Open is the annual professional tennis tournament in Serbia. Played on outdoor clay courts, the event was held for the first time in 2009. The person behind it was, of course, the most famous tennis player – Novak Đoković. Thanks to his efforts and investments, Serbia Open became the part of ATP World Tour 250 series.

An interesting fact about the Serbian Open 2021 is that this time, it will be a mixed men’s and women’s tournament. This will be the first time Serbia will hold a WTA tournament. The women’s event will be in May – from 17th to 23rd.

This year, World No. 1 Novak Đoković is the top seed, while World No. 10 Matteo Berrettini is the 2nd seed. You can also expect to see other tennis stars such as Aslan Karatsev, Filip Krajinović, Dusan Lajović, and John Millman. The times for matches are Monday-Friday 11:00 am and 7:00 pm; Saturday 4:00 pm, Sunday 5:00 pm. The singles final will be on Sunday, April 25th.

In previous years, this was one of the most popular events in Belgrade. Tickets would get sold very quickly and visitors were able to show the spirit, see their favorite players and cheer for them. This year the situation will be a bit different, as there will be no audience on the court. While it may be true, there is no reason to worry – you can watch it on TV or online. We know that feeling is not the same, but it will not stop us from cheering with all our hearts!

Novak Tennis Center

The Serbia Open tournament will take place at Novak Tennis Center. You will find it in Dorćol, on a perfect location, just between Kalemegdan on one side, and the confluence of Sava into the Danube on the other side. The location couldn’t be better, right? The complex is very modern, with 14 tennis courts. Eleven are made of top-grade clay and three are made of hard surface. Additionally, there is also a children’s playground. And maybe at the present time, some of our future sportsmen are making their first career steps here on the court.

If you are in Belgrade and want to play tennis, you can book a timeslot in Novak Tennis Center. You are welcome to visit the outdoor bar which is inside the complex as well. There are many different tennis clubs with courts in Belgrade, so if are interested in booking your timeslot – let us know. We will help you with anything you need!

Pick your favorite player and let’s cheer together!
