The first Chinese festival of lights will be organized at Kalemegdan on the occasion of marking the Chinese New Year, and the opening ceremony will be on February 4th.

On the plateau at “Ribar” in Kalemegdan Park, on Monday, from 18.00, the installation of Chinese lanterns will be opened, which will be officially celebrated for the Chinese New Year in our country for the first time.

In the organization of the Balkanopolis Center for Modern Tradition, with the support of the Government of Serbia and the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, the exhibition will be opened by the Ambassador of China Chen Bo, Minister of Culture Vladan Vukosavljević and Prime Minister Ana Brnabić.

This exhibition was due to the cultural exchange between our two countries, on the initiative and personal engagement of our artist Slobodan Trkulja, Serbia’s creative ambassador, who enjoys immense popularity in this most populated country in the world with the Balkanopolis group.

The light spectacle was created by one of the world’s leading lanterns manufacturing companies – Zigong Haitjen from China. Their lighting installations, called “Panda”, “Season,” “Wonderful Deer”, “Penguin Shapes” and many others will bring interested audiences into a wonderful world of imagination and light, which will be especially interesting to the youngest.

The entrance for all visitors is free!
