Final Four 2018: Belgrade center of basketball world
The final tournament of Euroleague – Final Four 2018 – will be held in Belgrade, in Stark Arena from May 18 to May 20, 2018.
During the Final Four of 2018, Belgrade will be the center of European, but also world basketball, and it will be the biggest sports event in city of Beolgrade in 2018.
The Final Four will bring to Belgrade the most likely combination of Russian, Spanish and Greek teams, who will probably have two representatives in the playoffs, as well as representatives of Turkey and Lithuania. In the regular season, CSKA, Fenerbahce and Olympiakos had the most success, with a win and a defeat ratio of more than 2: 1 and they won the first three places in the table, so they are probably some of the teams coming to Final Four.
– Final Four is a sporting event of great importance and a great opportunity for the promotion of the city of Belgrade, but also of all of Serbia. We have technical and organizational skills to organize the biggest sports competitions and I am sure that Belgrade will once again prove to be an excellent host and a great organizer of sports competitions – statemant says.
A lot of tourists are expected in Belgrade, who will then be “the center of the basketball world”.
Final Four Tournament 2018 will be the 18th in a row as organized by Euroleague Basketball.
Final Four is gonna be played in the Serbian capital for the first time in three decades. The capacity of the Arena for matches will be around 18,000 places that could make F4 in Belgrade the most visited in the 21st century.
The matches of the last round of the Euro league are played on April 5 and 6, 2018. The eight best teams enter the quarterfinals where they will play the system 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5. It plays on three victories. The best four teams will play in Belgrade for the title of Euroleague 2017/18.
