What to Expect from Canyon Uvac?
Discover the Uvac Natural Park
Uvac Natural Park, protected by law, offers breathtaking views of untouched nature. A highlight of the visit is the opportunity to witness Griffon vultures soaring above the meander, as this area is one of their largest settlements. The grand, untouched landscape of the Uvac Canyon will captivate you, with the serene Uvac Canyon viewpoint providing a deeply enriching experience. Additionally, you’ll visit the Ice Cave, which is accessible only by boat. The Uvac Meander, one of Serbia’s natural wonders, is located just four hours from Belgrade.
Tour Itinerary
Your journey begins with breakfast at 7 am, followed by a four-hour drive to the Uvac Canyon, with stops at specially selected spots offering picturesque views of Serbian nature.
Molitva Observation Deck & Ice Cave
The tour starts at the Molitva observation deck, the best spot for sightseeing over the Uvac Canyon meander. The Uvac Canyon hiking trails are some of the most intriguing in the region. After visiting the Molitva observation deck, you will board a ship to continue your tour through Uvac Lake and the canyon.
The ship will take you to the Ice Cave, where you’ll embark on a 700-meter walk to explore the cave’s rich formations. The Ice Cave is part of a 6.8 km long cave system and is considered one of Serbia’s hidden gems. The cave earned its name from a legend that states the temperature inside remains at 8 degrees Celsius year-round.
Additional Details
An optional lunch break can be arranged after the boat ride. The return to Belgrade is planned for late evening.
Tour Guide & Transportation
Your tour guide will accompany you throughout the journey. While the guide speaks English, tours can also be organized in French, Spanish, Turkish, German, Iranian, or Arabic. The type of vehicle used depends on the number of participants, but all vehicles are luxurious, ensuring a comfortable four-hour ride.
