Women’s Day 2019: Free entrance to museums
Free entry to the National Museum, the Museum of Vuk and Dositej and the Historical Museum of Serbia – March 8th!
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, on Friday, March 8, free entrance to some Belgrade museums will be provided.
National Museum and Museum of Vuk and Dositej
On Friday, from 13:00 to 15:00, on the occasion of the National People’s Festival in Belgrade, they will organize a social gathering at the Atrium entitled “National Museum to Citizens”.
On that day, free entrance will be possible at the National Museum (Trg republike 1a) and the Museum of Vuk and Dositej (Gospodar Jevremova 21).
Historical Museum of Serbia
All ladies with their loved ones will be able, with a free entrance, to visit the current exhibition “The End of the Great War 1917-1918” at the Historical Museum of Serbia on Nikola Pašić Square.
In addition to documentary films, personal items, weapons, decorations and numerous unreleased photographs, visitors can also see art paintings and posters that marked and immortalized this period of the Serbian past.
Ethnographic Museum
On March 8, the Ethnographic Museum (Studentski trg 13) also provided free entrance for all ladies for the permanent exhibition “Folk Culture of Serbs in the 19th and the first half of the 20th century”, as well as the exhibition “The Indestructible Museum of 1918- 2018 “by Vesna Bižić-Omčikus and the exhibition” Kalaši – the last pagan Hindukuša “by Konstantin Novaković.
