A one day trip to magnificent Belgrade.. what to see?

Arriving in Belgrade, the capital of the Republic of Serbia and the center of Serbian culture, education and science is an undertaking that needs to be thoroughly planned. The city that existed in the Roman Empire, called Singidunum, now has over 1,600,000 inhabitants and represents the economic center of Serbia.

The sun goes out, it revives over the sleepy Belgrade … The bays on the Sava and the Danube are opening, and the first guests begin to arrive at the morning coffee and breakfast. The ideal place to start the day and the hub of both tourists and Belgraders are definitely Belgrade rafts where you can enjoy swinging in the rhythm of the river flowing, enjoying the view, in conversation with friendly staff. New Belgrade riverside, which stretches from the very mouth of the Sava to the Danube and continues to Zemun riverside, is a route that Belgraders like on weekends likes to come running, cycling, walking, recreation with family and friends.

After having breakfast and having a morning coffee at some of the rafts, a walk by New Belgrade riverside leads you right to Zemun. The symbol of Zemun, a city that carries the spirit of old time, a place where archaeologists found remains that prove the existence of life since Vinkovci and old city culture, is a famous highland and tower Gardos. The Gardos settlement was a cemetery in the era of the Celts.

Archaeologists have found the remains of tools and weapons made of iron stone and bones, ceramic dishes and ornaments that are taken away and stored in the Regional Museum in Zemun. The tower is located on a hill and is visible from all sides of Zemun, and therefore has become a landmark for many.

When you return to the center of Belgrade you can visit the shopping center Usce, one of the largest shopping centers in Serbia and the region. Watching one of the latest movies, training in a state-of-the-art gym, or shopping in one of the world-renowned brands, are just some of the activities that await you in this great oasis of abundance.
