Dear guests, we want to wish you a great 2021. We prepared a quick briefing to let you know how did we celebrate New Year’s Eve in Belgrade and Serbia.
As we expected, the celebration this year was very modest. It was the case with many other cities around Europe and the World. However, this New Year brought some new hopes and optimism, and we are all making new plans and have strong faith that our lives will resume the normal courses.
Celebration of the New Year’s Eve in Belgrade
This year was evidently the first one without an organized public celebration on squares. As cities were unable to ensure proper social distancing and manage the crowds, the most logical solution was to refrain from organizing such events. That was a nice tradition and we hope that we will be able to resume such celebrations.
Yesterday, on December 31st, venues such as restaurants and cafes closed their doors at 18:00, as instructed by the Crisis Team. The same measure will be in force today, on January 1st. Some places organized indoor matiné parties, with respect to all preventive measures. However, most of the citizens decided to stay at home with their families. We support all responsible decisions and we believe that this year, it was the best choice. Even though we were unable to organize any party for New Year’s Eve in Belgrade, we still had a good time, and in the end, that is all that matters, right?
