If you have ever visited Belgrade, you must have noticed that Belgraders love being active and fit. As the colder days are coming, many people are now going to gyms in Belgrade, and are already working on their summer bodies. Gyms in Belgrade are plentiful and every neighborhood has at least one. Usually, they do not require a long-term subscription, and they even offer a day-tickets.

Most of the gyms in Belgrade are well-equipped, with good ventilation, lockers, changing rooms, and showers. Hence, if you want to stick to your workout routine, we will tell you about the best fitness centers and gyms in Belgrade.

Ahilej – The most famous chain of gyms in Belgrade

This bodybuilding and fitness club has 12 locations in Belgrade. You can find them in New Belgrade, Zemun, center (Vračar), and pretty much on various locations around the city. You can pay a membership fee which is valid for only one location. The perk of the Ahilej chain is that, with a small surcharge, your membership is valid for all their locations. A one-time ticket is 500 dinars (4,3 euros/5 USD). It is truly a bargain, considering that they have hundreds of different pieces of equipment in their objects.

What’s more important is that Ahilej is a socially responsible company, which works on the promotion of sport, aiding vulnerable people during the COVID epidemics, and donating to humanitarian causes.

Another famous chain – Athletic’s Gym

The Athletic’s Gym has 4 locations in Belgrade. Membership is valid for all four sites. The first training is free of charge, so you can try before you buy, without any commitment! They work to promote “energy, beauty, health, focus”. And indeed, this gym incorporates those values in their work. We agree with them that it is not all about the equipment – experience, knowledge, and motivation are equally important.

Additionally, they offer personalized trainings and group programs such as Zumba, aerobic, pilates, aero-kick, etc. Two of their locations (in Voždovac and Banovo Brdo) also have the on-site sauna and massage service.
