The fifth international saxophone festival – Belgrade SAXperience – will be held from October 2nd to 6th, 2018 in Belgrade. After the festival, the tour of Le Tour de SAX will visit six cities in Serbia from October 7 to 12.
Belgrade SAXperience is a unique international festival, featuring the most important parties and local saxophonists. The festival follows contemporary trends and strives to reach the widest layers of the audience. Apart from classical and jazz concerts in the most important Belgrade halls, the audience has the opportunity to attend the daily performances of saxophonists in open and evening club performances with a popular saxophone repertoire.
During the five days of the festival, the audience will be able to enjoy high quality concerts at different locations. Belgrade SAXperience will host the most important names from the world of saxophone from France, Austria, Italy, Belgium and Serbia this year. The stars of the French classical saxophone Eva Bartas and Nikola Arsenijevic, accompanied by the Grand Chamber Orchestra, and under the conductor Aleksandar Sedlare and Francesco Santuci conduct the opening of this year’s festival in Kolarac’s endowment. Following are the concerts by Belgian saxophonist Peter Pelens, Mobilis quartet saxophone from Austria, Le Nunurs from Serbia. The festival will be closed with the performance of the famous French saxophonist Batista Erben and pianist Bojan Zulfikarpasic in the Kombank Hall, which will perform for the first time together.
Besides the concerts in the big Belgrade halls, part of the rich program of the Belgrade SAXperience Festival consists of day and night gigs. The Saxperience Nights jam session, which will be held every evening (after the official program) at 22:00 in the Lounge bar of the Radisson Collection Hotel, Old Mill Belgrade, is an ideal opportunity for all participants and musicians to socialize and exchange experiences in an informal atmosphere.
